I cant tell what order theyre in. From what I see it doesnt matter. He turned down the alcohol job, and she flip flopped.
It matters a lot. I can do a good job today, and dick it up 3 months from now and get fired where I work.

Now if she did flip flop her story, I'm with you on being annoyed about shady people but realize how many times they have been wrong about her in 1 week. I'm getting more annoyed with that fact than anything. Right now, I'm defaulting to side with her. That's why I looked up her info on earmarking. Today Obama still throws out that $27 million number which should be called out on FactCheck.org and reported by the media. I don't like seeing Obama get this golden ticket. It's a witch hunt and it's pissing me off.

In my opinion, she has shown she can stand her ground and I like the thought that she has not just gone with the flow of things within the party. I liked that she cut costs in her state and the preggers daughter didn't matter to me. She still has to prove herself in the debate with Biden though. Until then, I would like to see facts before people start reporting on half-trues and speculation.

So let me get this straight.

Bad J8300 for assuming theyre in order (which I actually didnt) and that he couldnt have actually messed up (which I didnt).

Good Pector for assuming theyre not in order and assuming that he did mess up.

So instead of just saying hnmmm, this should be checked into more. The statements dated. Reasons looked for (where did he mess up?). You just automatically assume she cant be lying and jump on me for assuming she is?

But as some of you like to say..."show me a politician that" doesnt lie. Then call me wrong for assuming she did.

Open your eyes or stfu.

Ummm... She said his "interests and strengths certainly could be put to good use, as he could concentrate exclusively on a couple of issues that were his interests, that would be bootlegging, and alcohol problems in rural Alaska..."

Even before you "spelled it out for us", as I watched it the first time, I thought to myself, "The reporter claims she's praising him, yet she was simply stating that she thought he's be a good candidate for the job."

So she thought he'd be a good choice, then later found that he wasn't? Wow.

$27 million is the amount, if I remember correctly, that she kept for the bridge to nowhere. You know, after saying "thanks, but no thanks".

I watched and saw no flip flop.

If you tell anyone in this thread to STFU again your gone. Permanently. Your comments are constantly dancing close to personal attacks in this thread (and past) I'm bored with it. Discuss like an adult or I'll show you the door.

Then your perception of reality is seriously distorted IMO.

Sorry I didnt know STFU was a personal attack. It was more like wishful thinking on my part.

Ok I watched the video again. Theres no attempted spin by the reporter in that specific part.

They did show the later version first and the earlier version 2nd. The reporter says as much and the dates pop up on the video.

Aug 13: She was concerned

Reporter: "but weeks ago she praised..."

Jul 17: She praised him (sorry EM, but talking about his strengths is praise)

so slightly less than a month

And if you dont see a flip flop there, how about her reasoning of budgetary disagreements?

J8300,
Since you complained to me via PM that I didn't "warn" you before I issued an infraction for telling someone to "shut the fuck up", I'll oblige you this time...

(To be clear, this is the "warning" part)
If you choose to continue to make smart mouthed comments to the staff, like the one above, you will be put in the corner like a child, for a very long "time out".

You have gotten "mouthy" with me via PM in the past, and have done so again tonight. You have also been completely disrespectful to another mod tonight.(note the bold text above for the most recent example)
I've let it slide for long enough.

When I need to give an infraction, I need to choose from a "menu" of infraction types... there isn't a selection for "backtalking", and there shouldn't need to be.
