I have no idea who Andrew is or whether this is even substantiated but there it is. It will be interesting to see what comes of this and the other accusation.
Thanks for the added info. I agree, whether or not the claims are valid, it certainly is a reason to dig a little deeper into superwoman's methods of leadership. As others have said, every politician has had accusations made by detractors, but this looks like it might have some substance to it.

My apologies for the sarcasm in my last post. Excuse me now while I go eat some humble pie.

A quick Google of Andrew Halco shows he lost the 2006 Governors race to Palin by a significant margin. Doesn't mean he's making things up, but may show a possible agenda.

I've been reading her Wikipedia talk page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Sarah_Palin

Quite long but interesting and you get pretty much all sides of the issues.

One thing I found so far is this:

Now that she is of national import, please consider adding additional information regarding her tenure as mayor of Wasilla. Specifically, her involvement in the controversial land aquisition for a regional sports complex [13]. According to this article, the city raised sales taxes, used emminent domain on the property, then lost a lawsuit to the rightful owner. Eventually they paid over $1.25 million, for a property that they could have purchased for $125,000. The city's finances are still reeling from this action, and contruction of the $14.7 million facility [14]. Ljmajer (talk) 10:28, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Note that the comment is sourced. The bold is my highlight, a practice I disagree with vehemently. Although spending 10x the amount of money that should have been spent shouldnt be taken very lightly.

In the coming weeks more will surface. It will have to be sorted through for validity and newsworthiness. Everyone has skeletons in the closet. How many is the problem. It will be interesting to see how she stands up for herself, I think she'll pull it off.

I'm not so sure she will pull anything off.

On August 29, 2008, Palin was announced as presumptive Republican presidential candidate John McCain's vice-presidential candidate, or running mate.[61][62][63][64]

A month previously, Palin had said:[69]
But as for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day?

I wonder if anyone has told her yet?

Nice but you took it out of context. She laughed when she made that comment and in context, mentioned that she likes to work toward something and get things done. I don't know many folks who can rattle off a list of things that Cheney, Gore, or Quale did all day when they were in office.

Likewise, I have to ask that question every time I take a job, despite working in the field for 15 yrs. It's good not to make assumptions.

Sorry I didnt see any laugh tag in the quote. I suppose I could ask you for a source on the laugh but Ill take your word. As far as what the VP does how about presiding over the senate? Granted that may not be day in and day out, but out of context or not the quote makes her look not so smart.

So lets look at the rest of the quote and see if we can find some more context...

But as for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.

Still looks not so smart. I like to do "things" and work "real hard in administrations" especially for "Alaska".

I wonder what audience she was addressing this time, sounds like MTV again.

You know, being vehemently opposed to someone based on very little info is no different than placing said person on a pedestal based on very little info.

That's as profound as I get on a weekend.

Have fun with the ongoing debate.
