Not like there hasnt ever been a reversed guilty decision due to new evidence. Especially since the advent of DNA testing.

Why would I have? I didn't attack the accuracy of that statement, only your qualification for making it. Not only do I attack inaccuracy and falsehood, I also attack agenda and ignorance. That you were right is no consequence to the position that it is awfully arrogant of you to assume what you did not know but could have easily validated before you presented it. Such behavior stinks of agenda, and I will make every attempt to illuminate such things where I can.

Cheers.

While I feel that she's wrong on the issue personally, what she said and what she's done as Governor on the topic is not represented by the actions and viewpoint you've attributed to her by quoting one select statement and not really reaching out for any further confirmation of her views
How much more confirmation of her views do you need after "teach both"?

Maybe later she qualified her statement, but dont you think she maybe realized she made a mistake in saying that and decided to say something completely different? That is what she did. Her statement the next day is nothing like "teach both".

IMO we got her true feelings from her first statement and then we got a politically corrected version, which isnt even the same as her original statement, or even close.

So do you have a problem with the process or the principle?

I think the fact that she admitted that she hadn't given the issue a lot of thought prior to that is clear enough for me. Why must I attribute your assumed motives to her when I can clearly see the reason in other perspectives? You don't hold a monopoly on what "probably" happened. I can easily see that she misspoke, and that her personal feelings and faith may validate creationism, but given the totality of her statements taken in context, that perhaps she feels that it's not the government's place to rule over it, but that still doesn't mean it can't be part of the debate.

I neither need nor require that every legislator be an Atheist, quite the contrary, they can hold whatever faith and personal views on government and religion they like, I only ask that they keep their hands off of the subject of forcing it on the people as an arm of the state.

Is Palin a perfect politician, of course not, that's an oxymoron...but she does bring some significant things to the table, and due to that, I won't simply dismiss her outright until she has a chance to showcase her platform and beliefs on what a VP should do and should be, as well as the same for the President...then I'll take into account her prior statements and probably more importantly, her actions as Governor. Others may choose a different path, but that road leads mostly to the little town of ignorance populated by agenda and its closest friends.

I don't know, I don't hold the skill to make a determination from so little...of course, I can't tell what one had for lunch just by the qualities of the stench emanating from their asshole either.

Palin's statements track with the official Alaska Republican Party platform, which support creation science and intelligent design by name, and says that "evidence disputing the theory should also be presented."

More on her true beliefs. Not her secondhand politically correct crapola.

Where exactly is the evidence disputing evolution? I dont believe I have ever seen any that withstood peer review.

I think it's in our BEST INTEREST to get the word out, and take our State back from the Liberal Left.
If we do the right thing, we can FINALLY have a voice in the white house..that represents every reason why we joined this website.

An N.R.A. Member as Vice President..and a woman to boot? This is our chance we have been waiting for! Let's take advantage of the opportunity we have in front of us.

Obama should pay for his "Bitter people who cling to religion and guns" comment. What a better way to make him pay by..turning this state RED in November!
