A bad argument born of ignorance it one thing, but you are acknowledging what you are doing, which I find worse.

The more we stick with the issues and portray ourselves as mature adults, the more converts we will get and the stronger our side will be. This isn't a personal attack, but statements like you made hurt the perception of a cause I believe in strongly.
I'll accept that you weren't intending a personal attack. Any idea how much Muslims hate Jews? Obama (see, I can spell after all) gets in office and Israel gets deserted. After that, who's next? How long before it's us? How's that for a bad argument?

These are my beliefs. I don't ask you to agree with them, but they are mine. If you percieve me as ignorant, we'll have to consider the source.

Talking Re: NRA - McCain interview

I don't really see winning over converts from a group that blindly and ravenously follows Obama. Thus far, any argument presented in the media has had no effect on his supporters. Any other candidate who got nailed with this many scandals would have been long gone. I doubt anything anybody here could say or not say will make a difference.

I have spoke with some that might have been fence sitters. It is important and just starting.

Like I said, your argument wasn't faulty and I have no issue with you expressing it. I am just pointing out that when you include something cute like your first statement, others will point to that and not to the substance of your argument and that doesn't help our side.

I don't think that's who we should be worried about. But the other side likes to portray gun owners as unintelligent, low class, racist hicks. When we include below-the-belt comments, it only serves to reinforce that stereotype for the ignorant.

My fear is Congress. No matter who wins the White House, if the democrats make the gains that some say are coming, they will have a veto proof majority.

If they gain 60 seats in the Senate they will have cloture which negates a fillibuster. Some "experts" believe they will gain as many as 30 seats in the house.

These numbers are frightening. If the Supremes don't come through for us with a favorable ruling, we are in deep crap.

Remember, it takes 2/3 of Congress to override a presidential veto.

Here is McCain's true stance on guns as documented by the GOA. Some people say the GOA is too demanding, or too hardline, but this link shows that the recent McCain speech is just so much playing the politician.

That's what they do, even Hillary said she "supports" the 2nd. Most politicians will say and do anything it takes to get elected.

McCain is the better choice, by far.

So what's your point? They also gave Obama an F and they gave Hillary an F-. Personally I can't see how they can give Obama and McCain the same score. Obama never votes pro gun. In fact, many times on other issues he either doesn't show up to vote or votes "present", but he shows up to vote against gun rights when ever there is an opportunity.

McCain, though far from desirable, looks like a Godsend compared to the Democrats.

That said, Pennsylvania never goes to a Republican, so you may as well vote for who you want...not what the Republicans give you.
