I'm pretty sure this is a dead bill walking. "Last Action: Mar 19, 2007: Referred to Subcommittee".

Still, it's probably a good idea to write letters to your Congressional representative or Rep. Chaka Fattah [D-PA] or Sen. Hillary Clinton [D-NY] or Sen. Barack Obama [D-IL] to express one's opinion on the proposed ban on so-called "assault weapons".
