Don't forget about the Cheytac .408 Or the rifles chambered in .338 Laupa magnum. Those are also very sweet.

Yeah I thought about the .408 and the .338 Lapua. The .408 is uber expensive and the ammo is propriatary only made by the Rifle maker who doesn't look to have alot of business. The .338 is a great round but will only get to around 1700 yds from what I read. The .416 will do 2500 yds with a solid bronze 400 gn bullet that is still supersonic at that range according to Futureweapons. Solid bronze moving that fast is armor peircing in my book. lol Even though Barrett is the only one making the bullet I don't think we have to worry about them going anywhere for a while. So for me the choice is the .416. Now if I just had the money............

I recall the nut in CA a few years ago who took a tank on a destructive joy ride, crushing all in sight, and tried to take a bridge out, only to wind up stuck on concrete dividers and be shot, fatally.

Why do you ask I brought this up?

Funny thing is. Last I heard, you could own and drive a tank in the UK, has to have rubber treads and barrel must be plugged or something, I think.

What about the guy that welded all the metal plating to a big dozer and took out all the township buildings and officials houses before they shot him. I think he got a couple of police crusiers too. It was all over some township rulling that went against his business and supported some town board members business or something. They screwed him so he got em back.........then they got him back......again

What kind of morons come up with this crap? I have never ever in my entire life heard of any crime having been committed with a .50 "sniper rifle" and if there were such crimes, I doubt all the liberal gun grabbers would have noticed the caliber. What happened that I obviously missed makes it important to ban yet another class of arms?

I would bet where this is headed is to ban all "sniper rifles" just like trying to ban all "assault weapons." Anything with a scope on it suddenly becomes "evil."
