Default Cant fly the flag?!?!?

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news...89/detail.html

I say if they dont want to fly the flag then they cant have that federal money that Im pretty damn sure they cant live without. Oh yeah, that would be the presidents fault as well.

What the hell is happening in America. If these types of people were to pull shit like this during WWI & II they would have been rounded up and tried for treason *IF the locals didnt hunt them down and hang them for it first*

I hate hearing this bullshit about it being a persons right to talk ill of America, or to say they wish the president was dead, or to burn a flag, or protest the funeral of a fallen soldier and all this other hippie punk ass bull that these lesser humans keep doing. Bet your ass if I was to have to be confronted by one of these types of people I WILL make national news for it. Sadly todays media isnt interested in what is TRUTH, but only about what can be slightly misspoken, twisted with a skewed perception of understanding all for those holiest of ratings. Watch the news and find one story as of late other than the weather , that isnt negative. You will be hard pressed to find it. And these actors and actresses that for some unknown reason dont realize that just because they play president on tv DOES NOT mean they are qualified to act like one in real life. I dont make a boat load of money but I would damn sure LOVE to strike a deal with the airlines to send all these america hating bastards packing off to someplace else.

First of all, dumb decision that is gonna get the school sued and the guy fired. He goes on to point out his stupidity.....

According to the article the principal also says its now acceptable to ditch class just so long as its a "rally"! Does that also apply to students on both sides of an issue. Can the neo-nazi's rally too? How about students rallying against "Fat Chicks"? or some such nonsense?
Thats just SO stupid!! Hope that idea doesnt catch on!
Students are required by Law to complete X number of school days. PERIOD! They should NOT be excused from ditching class!

In the past "civil disobediance" carried consequences to point out need for change. Part of the rally/protest was that you sacrificed something to show just how important the idea is to you. (Kinda like Catholics giving up something for lent, Christians meat on Good Friday, etc)
Rather than adress the real problem of clashing cultures and actually doing some education idiots like that guy are taking an "easy way out" that just makes things worse!

Well, everyone has the right to say what they want, thats protected by the first ammendent. My problem with all these Anti-america americans (if you can call them that) is they dont realize how good they have it. I don't know if it was how I was raised or all the History channel I watch but everytime I see an American flag I say to myself "thats a damn good looking flag".

This is not a knock on you, but your statement is exactly what is wrong in America today. You can bet the damn farm that the founding fathers DID NOT mean for the 1st ammendment to be taken in the context it is used today. It was so that people could speak out against tyranical governments, say they love god and the like. NOT burn flags, NOT tell lies on others for gain, harm or otherwise. Granted Im sure that the founding fathers had a few of their own "quirks" hell for all I know they may have liked to have sex with sheep. But the Constitution that was written then and to this day holds up pretty damn good on its own is NOT the same constitution that these "Im black give me restitution, Im a woman give me my abortion, Im gay so you need to let me hump and protect me when I get an ass injected death sentence and waste millions of dollars to make me well, Im a pacifist give peace a chance" types have misinterpreted it.

I disagree entirely, the most important speech to protect is the speech that offends you. Your example of Flag Burning is the best example.

Out flag is sacred because of the rights and freedoms it represents, a major one being the freedom to say what we want (especially when it's critical of the government). To ban the descration of the flag would be to compromise what it stands for and make it just another rag.

The day they ban flag burning is the day I burn our flag.

I will not protect someone who is burning the flag. I will protect his right to do so.

I do expect that my right to kick the flag burners ass(1st Ammendment, expressing my anger) to be protected in return.
