Default what would you do if they really came to take away our firearms?

OK, so D-Fens has this link on his signature line:

It is a scary proposal, I want to know, really, what would you do?

This is a really bad topic to discuss for obvious reasons. I know we've gone through this before.

Self incremination is the whole problem of asking this question in a public forum. I think it is an awful indicator of the stae we live in where I hesitate before I even ask this. and now i wonder how to delete a thread.

No offense but anyone that *really* has a plan of what they'll do isn't going to post it on a public site with 6,000,000 hits a month. Posting your plans are just going to ensure that you have 2 dozen boots at your door with a no-knock than 6 with.

It'd be Food for the Anti's. Prep for the Jackboots.

Thankfully, I don't have to answer that, because that freakin' moonbeam nutjob that wrote that article is not in charge.

I think such a scenario is quite possible since it could be done under the banner of fighting terrorism. Keep in mind the next (likely) attorny general, and next (likely) Republican presidential nominee both think waterboarding is not torture. Also, it looks like warrantless wiretaps are here to stay.

Personaly I would comply with the law, since I am a spineless traitor, but I could see some crazy "constitution literalist" doing stuff like:
1. handing in a token gun or two.
2. burry other guns and ammo, caiming they sold it to "some dude" just before the law took effect.
3. keep a low profile and take notes on who is carrying out these orders.
4. begin some sort of trouble making as heavy-handed tactics start to turn public opinion against these efforts.

Depend on lots of stuff with everyone, I'm sure. Time, family matters, general feelings toward government. I'm just glad that a scenario like that wont happen for at least a good while. If it does...for me it'll probably depend on my family if I fight or not.

Lets hope that "Shall not be infringed" stays that way, eh?
