Default Re-new permit to carry

Hello everyone,
this is my first post and I do have a question. My permit to carry expires soon, and I was wondering is the process the same to re-new your permit to carry as it was to first apply for the permit. Such as sending cards out to friends for references. If anyone knows what is required to re-new please let me know, Thank you in advance.

The process (and cost) to "apply" for a renewal is the same as the original application. Some Sheriff's may have a modified procedure for processing these renewals, some may use an identical process regardless of how long you've been licensed. At a minimum, expect the PICS check to be done each time, as there is no assurance you have not become a prohibited person since you were last issued a LTCF. Perhaps someone with experience in your county can provide further info on the specific local details.

The procedure is the same although the last 2 times I renewed I only had to wait about 2 weeks for the license. Fred
