    T1066 works metal for a living. It's very possible he may show us a cleaner method without the jig. If so, a stabilizer would be really useful.

    It's using a circular drill to remove as much as possible, then using the end mill to remove the rest to create a rectangular cavity more or less....

    Usually it's drilling followed by passes with the end mill to cut away the remainder.
