As I said the board reviews memberships the 2nd wed, so that's probably to late for having a May 3rd shoot. Mailing something today may not get there in time. The other option would be to drive there and deliver the application in person at the meeting. Attendance is unnecessary, but it may be the only way to get you app in on time. They are quick to approve and send out the membership cards, but the gating item, is that board meeting this Wednesday. Don’t make the trip today or tomorrow, but Wed, this club has noone there outside of scheduled meetings or shoots. And you want to be sure the person you give it to is a board member.

The Pistol ranges and Trap fields are open to the public on Thursday nights. So if anyone wants to see what’s there, Thursday is the day to be there. Also if it’s trap you are interested in, the fields are open to the public on Saturdays too.

I tried to get a guest pass option on the books, but the board’s opinion is that the cost of membership is low enough. They are right on the cost, but it’s the timing that sucks. If they had a fast track membership approval that would be better. I tried that too, memberships given on site, but that never caught on.

This map view is centered on the ranges, you can see the 25’ 50’, 50yd, 100yd, and the 200/300yd ranges. The 25’ pit on the left is somewhat obscured by the woods in this view. Plus off to the east are the trap fields. In between and around is the 3D archery course.

OK, I really hate to keep shaking this boat. As JD, pointed out, I believe a May group shoot may be impossible. Does everyone think we should put this somewhere in early June?

Well, let's settle on Ontelaunee, then, and make the date June 7th. That way we have time to get the membership applications in for the May board meeting (remember that there are many members here who only look at the forum every few days, and many may miss this thread), and enough time for those membership cards to get mailed before the shoot.

Anyone second that?
