Just a note if you get a deer you want mounted- use a safety pin through the tag and through the ear to attach the tag legally and have the taxidermist be happy.

I don't like the new license because you are going to end up with 3 - 4+ tags as you start using them, all lose, more if you have doe tags, also the size makes no sense to me as there is no way you won't have to be checked by a warden now

I really dislike the way they are doing anterless. it makes NO Sense at all and the is no way to say it does... each county gives out each others tags? wtf? what rules are in place to ensure only a certain number are processed daily?

I was commenting on the ads for crossbows because they are all within like the first 10 pages, all full page ads and everyone that was in favor of xbows was saying it had nothing to do with a xbow "lobby" promising them lots of advertising money and support if it passed.

I have no issues at all with advertising, if it means more money for the PGC then no problem, as long as it doesn't mean them fucking everything up

July 13 is the day to mail them in to a county treasurer, any one. After 1st & 2nd 'unsold' dates you can go over the counter at any WMU still having tags...

Harrisburg says it has to be displayed but not necessarily on you back. Had to get that changed b/4 they work to eliminate the part about displaying...

I think that the 'usual' early sell out WMUs will still go early but the mixture of people getting those anterless licenses will change depending on how fast each individual county gets into PALS w/ the requests they receive...

I think about 95% of the zones sell out every year before the end of the second round. This year I expect that number to be closer to 100% because if you try getting a permit from a sold out you will fall over into another zone which will just be a wasted tag for most of us. Philly and Pittsburgh may not sell out but all the rest will without a doubt

I don't understand why so many people are complaining about the new license. These same folks probably pissed and moaned about having to wear the cardboard license. There's no pleasing some people. Hey, its what we have now, so put up or shut up, and just wear the thing on your back as before if you're confused. What's the big fuss? Some people would P&M at money thrown at them!

Seriously? You are okay with the PGC outsourcing the licenses to Nashville (PA money going out of state) and in return we get new licenses which aren't the same size, are poorly designed and clearly more expensive.

The top tag was for the antlerless application but the guy said they didnt have the pink envelopes...... does that matter? do I NEED the pink envelope? If this is posted in another link can someone who knows where it is give me a link?? pretty please?

You need the pink envelope at this point to apply for the doe tag. Go to another kmart or walmart and pick one up, just ask.
This area ( 5b ) usually lasts till the second round. I checked this morning for mine and only 3400 were issued out of the 51000 allowed. Alas mine is not done yet. Im sure in another day or two . Last year all i saw were does and I didnt bother with a doe tag. This year Im not going to let that happen .

There should have been an envelope and extra antlerless applications in the book (typically near the middle). If none, just stop by any place that sells the licenses.
