I try
...its hard for me to get a squirrel with a bow, we hammer them pretty good, and they know to stay away from us, my best bet is actually using a treestand. Most of the time, little finches and other birds get the short end of the stick . My pops said that with dogs, killing a rabbit is too hard but I've never tried it

I got a turkey once. I think that's the smallest thing I've sucessfully shot with a bow.
I would keep some judo tipped arrows on me and take pot shots at squirrels. Lost alot of arrows and scared alot of squirels, but they lived to tell about it.

Yeah, a rabbit with a dog behind is hard enough with a scatter gun, let alone a bow!!

I hunt groundhogs with my bow. It is great for working on being quiet and sneaky. A normal stalk can take an hour or so depends on how far away you are when you start. I have no problem of shooting 60 yrds, but I like to stalk them inside of 30 yrds. Tough work but in the end rewarding to know how sneaky you can be stalking something in the open without cover.

for every one squirrel i havd gotten, there were many more to live and tell about it. i think i have gotten 3 and all 3 came from sitting on a tree stand. 2 were standing on the ground and when i was younger-er i made the dumb mistake of shooting one when it was coming down a tree... needless to say i had to take a climber in to get the arrow and squirrel out of the tree.
