who else is excited?
IT'S DOVE SEASON TOMORROW! WOO HOO.
I've already broke out the 12 gauge, bird shot, and hunting vest! Pumped for another great season! Groundhog is fun, but gets a little monotonous after a couple months. Ready to start shooting at flying objects again!"Do not use K-9 advantix on cats"

Re: who else is excited?
I hope you're doing well!
I was going to go field hunting for early goose, but the farmer that lets me hunt has an arrangement with another couple. They always get the first day. That's apparently the only time they hunt the place. I'll probably go out Wednesday or Friday evening when I don't have soccer practice.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Would love to shoot ground hogs but there are none up here in the mountains. Coyotes I suspect.

Re: who else is excited?
Anyone have a short primer on dove hunting?
What type of shotgun?
Where?
Any public land?
Migratory licence?
Sucess rate?
Recipies?
I just started hunting last year and have only hunted spring gobbler. Going to try dear and small game this year. Some people just plain suck.

Re: who else is excited?
Group of 4 of us went out this afternoon. Everyone had a great time with a lot of shooting and an equal number of misses. It was a good time. I was helping my little brother (15) for his first time dove hunting. He did well but no birds.
We were all checked by the Game Commission - everyone was good to go (as always) and it was a good experience for my brother.

Re: who else is excited?
I have a Remington 870 12 gauge. #7 shot, low brass. I hunt freshly cut corn fields. As for recipes, I just throw em in red sauce with some peppers.
