PAIN IN THE BUTT BEARS
Living in the woods brings some problems, pain in th butt bears. In the last 3 weeks my neighbors and myself have seen 5 different bears, 1 big boar, soww with 3 cubs, and one smaller boar. They are a terror, bird feeders ripped apart, garbage can boxes turned over, grills played with and the list goes on. I have a question and maybe RWJ or anyone that might know the law, can I shoot them in the ass with rubber bullets, nonlethal? Had the big boar 30 feet from me this morning.

Re: PAIN IN THE BUTT BEARS
I think I would call the PGC regional office. I know they'll tell you to take the bird feeder down, after that I don't know. Maybe a WCO will come out and evaluate the situation.

PGC was down the road about 45 days ago with a trap for another rascal. We're being over run by them. Last year they trapped 15.

Spray stuff with Dave's Insanity. They won't be back. Or if they do, in the fall put them in your freezer.

Call your regional office and the WCO can work with you to haze the bears.

Re: PAIN IN THE BUTT BEARS
I drove back to my range this weekend and discovered a huge pile of bear crap on the road. Uh oh. I don't leave anything out but I know from my extensive experience in Colorado if they find a source of food left out by humans THEY WILL BE BACK. The cops out there used to pop em with a bean bag round from a shotgun. That only works for a while.
Never had a problem with bears until I ran into 3 in very close range in the Grand Canyon of PA. Momma and 2 cubs and majorly pissed off. Fortunately I had momentum on my bike and put in an Olympic peddling performance. I've always believed that 9mm was "adequate", but after seeing the teeth of a bear, I'd say a 10mm Glock is more like it.
