Default Regs on Handgun hunting in PA -2011 season

I am pretty sure that carrying Semi-autos to hunt is illegal in PA. Defense, yes, but not Hunting. OK, fine.

Are there minimum barrel length requirements for revolvers or single shot handguns?

What of the requirements for small game or large game?

I am capable of hand sized groups at 25 yards with a 2" revolver so I'm not concerned about accuracy. IF I stay within those limits which is tough. I might be lucky to get any shots but that's part of the challenge.

Does anyone here have any advice/regs?

    Thanks in advance.

Just ordered my license so option one isn't there yet. I also know that a lot of folks here are aware of not just the law but pending Court cases. Those matter too.

PA doesn't have a barrel length requirement like some states do.

Besides the type of gun, PA only regulates the type of cartridge and caliber for certain seasons or species.

For large game - it must be centerfire, any caliber. (elk hunting has further restrictions)

For small game - it must be .23 caliber or less, centerfire or rimfire. During certain overlapping seasons only 22 caliber or less rimfire is allowed. Except coyote, groundhog, and I think porcupines do not have a caliber/cartridge restriction.
