He gets a big thumbs up from me. Went in with an "oh shit" situation - front sling stud pulled out of the stock on my 30-06 and I was heading to Maine in a few days.

He very quickly resolved the issue and told me what happened (good thing too). Great service, very quick turn around time and a nice guy. I would strongly suggest him for any work that needs done.

His shop is on 209 now near the new car dealership (just up the street from where Custom Auto used to be)

Going to chime in also. Chuck did some voodoo-magic thing to my Ruger P-85 that has me a better shooter with the weapon. I would also recommend him to anyone in the area.

Chuck has forgotten more about guns than most experience gun folks will ever know.

I knew him very well back in southamption in the early 1970's when he was turning out super long range varmint guns and very high quality custom woodwork and rifles. All of the police gave him their work. His shop was in his house and it looked like a cop convention half the time.

Top shelf. Straight shooter. Good Guy.

Talking Re: Lutz's Gunsmithing, monroe county

Chuck has worked on most of my family heirloom guns and has done excellent work on every piece that I have brought in. He has a great turn around time and will put a rush on anything you ask him to. Also the man is a magician with triggers, he worked my Remmington 11-87 and you would swear it was a bolt action!

That is very nice to hear.. If Chuck is listening to this, I want you to know this comment won me over as to if I needed work done I will go to you... I feel customer service is very big!!!

He's also a wizard with singel action revolvers. He did a cowboy action job on my Ruger Blackhawk and it was worth every penny. Smooth as silk with a 2lb trigger pull.

I see that Lutz's shop in Brodheadsville seems to be gone. Anyone know where he went. It seems I am in need of a pistol smith.
