Default New AR Build Project

First off, thanks to renegadephoenix, Shawn.L, and Lycanthrope for their time and advice in buying / assembling parts. You guys rock and your advice was painfully helpful. Thank you.

And I'm waiting for one more small piece to our AR build. We (Dagny/Jill and I) are so damn excited. We got the lower receiver together and working. Now we're off to put the upper together.

I gently put pieces together to see what the finished project will look like. I couldn't be happier. Picking exactly what you want is definitely the way to go for me.

I'll post pics when it's done, but it might take a few days.

Could anybody let me borrow a few pieces as I haven't even ordered them yet? I'll repay you as I can, but easily see that having the right tools is what makes this possible.

I could use:
Lower receiver vice block.
Upper receiver clamshell vice block.
Buttstock wrench for the nut on a collapsible stock.

If any generous soul would be so kind as to let me borrow those for a bit to finish our project, I'd be in your debt.

And who the hell said that pivot pin detent and spring was hard to install? First try baby! I didn't even shoot it across the room. Can you tell I'm amused by the small things in life?

I can loan you a stock wrench.
I also have the barrel wrench (on loan to Kaos) or if you want to borrow my DPMS multi-tool you are welcome to barrow it.

All I have right now is an armorer's wrench so I'm good for the barrel nut.

Ed, if you're going to be at the PMSC monthly meeting, would you mind bringing your stock wrench then for me to borrow?

The same for any other PMSC guys that wouldn't mind parting with their hardware for a bit...

I have a YHM free float tube with a jam nut. It has slots in it as if it would accept a wrench. Is the best way to tighten that a strap wrench?

Anybody have lower or upper receiver blocks?

I'm not ignoring you Lycan, but Butler is a hike so maybe I could borrow your stuff as last resort?

Thanks for all the help and offers
Matt

We still need to meet back up to exchange said wrench, I still have those tracers if you want them too.

The armorer's wrench should have a small nub that you use to tighten the stock. You don't need another wrench.

What do you need a lower receiver block for?
