Default Winchester 94 Firing Pin Replacement

Does anyone know if this is something that can be done by someone at home?

    Winchester 94 in 30-30. Post 64
I THINK it was made in 1972 going by the SN and charts I found online.

I haven't found a firing pin in stock, but then again, Numrich's site makes my eyes bleed to try finding anything.
I need to call them with all the info I suppose.

Just wondered how involved the replacement process is - if it's something a gunsmithing novice can do, or if I should just seek out a local smith.

    Thanks.

Can't go wrong with a feller who says "rahfful" and "carbeene"...

Before I go ordering/bidding, do you happen to know if all post 64 firing pins are the same?

The numrich catalog (easier to look at than their website)lists a different firing pin for pre 64, post 64 top eject and angle eject. The number for the post 64 top eject is 301620. Looks like numrich has them, or at least a substitute, in stock.

Thank you. It's a top eject model. I punched that number in on the website and it took me to the right spot.

Now to go watch the video again to see if this is something I think I want to try myself.
