TOP: Newly acquired Colt Match Target Competition (MT6700) 20" rifle. This is going to be the donor gun for my Mk 12 Mod 1 project. I got seven PMAG20s for it, since the Mk 12 Mod 1 uses a Harris bipod and bipods don't play nice with 30-round magazines. Serial number dates it as being made sometime during 2000, during the Federal Assault Weapons Ban - hence the lack of muzzle device, bayonet lug and the fixed A2 stock. I have a second Magpul B.A.D. Lever on order to go on this receiver. So much more convenient that slapping the bolt release - biggest failure in the AR15/M16/M4 design in my opinion.

BOTTOM: My "old" (I purchased it October 31st, 2012 - shortly before Sandy Hook) Colt M4 Carbine (LE6920) 16" rifle. This is going to be the donor gun for my Mk 18 Mod 0 project. I already got my Form 1 back on it (21 days via eForms!) and have a 10.3" Daniel Defense barrel on order from Brownells (which is apparently clone-friendly since USN Mk 18s use Daniel Defense barrels in addition to Colt barrels). And my slightly excessive 12 30-round windowed PMAG30s. The carry handle on it is actually from the HBAR above. Once the barrel is installed, I still need an Aimpoint CompM2 with Wilcox mount, LMT rear sight, Crane stock and the proper Surefire light (which I forget at the moment).

Prancing pony! And this shows what I consider the only failing of this gun, which I need to have a gunsmith fix. It has the old style screw secured front pivot pin instead of the newer style captive pivot pin.

    Another prancing pony!

Oh...and all the 20- and 30-round PMAGs are full, I have two 30-cal tins sealed with 540 rounds in each on stripper clips in three clip cartons and a third open 30-cal tin with 210 rounds on stripper clips in three clip cartons. 1,790 rounds of Lake City 62gr FMJ 5.56x45mm ammo. Although once the Mk 12 Mod 1 is done, I'll need 77gr OTM 5.56x45mm ammo for it. Clearly, I still need more ammo.

    Full Auto?

Also any plans to shoot an engine block? Would love to see a car disabled for a demo.

    Awesome muzzle blast!

Any reason you mounted the sights backwards? And that polymer sight might not like life mounted directly to a gas block and probably fun as it's not on the same plane as the rear.

Good catch on the sights.. I like them mounted that way because it's easier for me to flip them up.

As for the placement, I simply like the front site out there.

I never been one for conformity and don't mind telling almost everyone that shoots the Beowulf, "Yup, I like them that way." It's rather amusing watching their faces when they say, "But that's wrong" and me replying, "Yup, but I like them that way." It just breaks their brains.

Yup, full-auto. I do have an old Subaru that is going to the junk yard that still actually runs... uhmmmm, have to consider that.

It would be a great demo of what the gun was made to do.

Picked this up yesterday. I can say that I finally have "one of a kind" set. Points to folks who know what the logo is.

That is a very sick set! I take it Geissele doesn't do that often.
