Dealers have to order the "SCAR Package (s)" in order to get a SCAR. This means that the dealer has to buy x amount of FN guns to fulfill the package, and then they get the SCAR(s). So if a distributor can get the FNP.45, then the package isn't completed. Once the dealer gets the FNP.45 and all other guns in the package, FN will approve the SCAR delivery.
So it took my dealer about 6 months to get all of the guns to fill the package requirements, and then FN wasn't shipping the SCAR. It really comes down to FN Herstal having shitty requirements and treating their dealers/customers like shit.

How is the fit/finish on the stock? I fondled one at the KOP show and had an extremely hard time making adjustments to the stock and folding it. Seemed like the tolerances on everything were just way too tight.
Sweet rifle though, .308 or 5.56? What are you planning on for optics?
PS, you still post on tst? I still plan on taking you up on your offer to let me shoot the PS90.

The fit and finish is actually very nice. As stated, I question the durability of the folding point on the upper, but other than that, it appears rather rugged. As far as the tolerances are concerned, it does bother me that the locking latch, made of polymer, has to be heavily forced to lock on to the upper for the shoulder ready position. FN should have ramped it a bit more IMO to allow for an easier lock. It's a 5.56 and I'll keep irons for a while, and will consider an aimpoint down the road.
I do still post on TST, and you're more than welcome to shoot the PS90 or any of the other guns so long as you're supplying ammo!

Can you fire it with the stock folded? It looks like it's in the way of the pistol grip.

The charging handle is another point of concern to me. It will not come out unless the stock is removed, as the carrier needs to go back that extra 1/64 of an inch to remove. At that point, it just slides right out. It stays in place because it has a ridge all the way around that is larger than the slot where it rides.
The metal part extends just a tiny bit in to the plastic handle.
You can fire it just fine with the stock folded though, the trigger is reachable.
