I used a crayon. It sounds like bad idea, like it would melt, but after easily 1000 rounds its fine. Its a bit dirty because I dont clean it often, but if i cleaned it it would look perfect. I used a butane torch lighter to heat up the slide, rubbed the crayon on there let it cool for a few mins and used a piece of cardboard to wipe off the excess. I found to get an awesome recessed look, blast the filled in areas with the lighter quickly. then use a piece of paper to remove the crayon that comes out.
