Between me and my father-in-law who lives with us, we have 4 Model 94's all in .30-.30. I'll have to snap some pics of them... mine is a newer 94AE (can use a scope), his are older... one pre-64 and 2 with octagon barrels.

I love my 94AE. The angle eject ejects the spent cartridge more to the right then than the older versions. I have a scope mounted on it, albeit the mounts have to raise it a bit for the ejected shell casing but she's the only rifle I hunt deer with anymore. It, in my opinion, is the perfect deer rifle. With the raised scope mount I can shoot it with the scope, or I can shoot open sights as the scope is high enough to see the sights. I can dial the scope in for say... 75 or 100 yds then have the sights set at 40-50

Default Re: Pics of Your Win 94

here are a couple pics of mine:

it sat neglected in my parent's basement for about 15 years...some of the blueing had been worn off and it rusted a bit.

i rescued it about 6 months ago. i'm in the middle of stripping it down to bare metal and re-blueing it. (it's down to bare metal now...no blue left like in the pics.)

i was originally planning to do the blueing myself, but i've read some bad things about the DIY blueing flaking off, so i might just take it somewhere to have it done professionally.
