that's a nice start. need some rifles to round it out. and a .22 or 2 for practice and plinking.

for the closeups, try the macro setting on your camera. it's usually a flower symbol. most cameras won't focus closer than 18" without that.

Thanks. I had a marlin .22 many many years ago that got stolen. It was a blast to practice with. I've only recently began purchasing again (January 07). I havnt had a chance to shoot any of them yet, but I will soon enough. I had a baby last September so money is kinda tight. But one of these days I'm going to get another .22 or some type of rifle (or a few, for variety). Thanks also for the tip on the camera settings.

For an all around .22 rifle for plinking, you can't go wrong with a Ruger 10/22. Marlin makes some fine .22's as well, but the ruger is by far the most versatile. Marlin's with the microgroove barrel are very accurate, especially in bolt guns.

For .22 pistols, the ruger mk II or browning buckmark are nice choices.

blueeyedbyrd,

Thanks for sharing the photos!

A .22 is definitely a good choice if looking for an affordable rifle to shoot.
Another reasonably priced option is an SKS. (Love mine.)

Be sure to post your results when you get to the range with those handguns!

Those Steyrs are nice pistols. I don't have the A1 series, but I had an M9 and still have my M40.
