i have plans on getting the lower registered as a sbr so i can put a 10.5" upper on it, or smaller. as for k31's question about how long i had to wait? well lets see, i sent the 200.00 check in on dec 15th they cashed it within 10 days, i didnt receive the can until about two weeks ago. my dealer said the examiner lost the paperwork on his desk. he must have because it was approved (stamped) jan 15th so if he didnt lose the paperwork it should of taken about 6 weeks which is still 5 1/2 weeks to long...

just a note if you SBR...dont use a can on less than an 11.5" barrel, due to stability issues on the bullet, Gemtech reccomends this also.
too much blast, the bullet can wobble, meaning a baffle strike or endcap hit.

try a 11.5" when ya get the SBR stamp approved, it looks just right.

quick pic in bright sun of my overly accessorized testbed SBR with my Soundtech can on it

Magpul M93 Experimental carbine stock
Surefire M73 front rail setup
Streamlight M2 light
GG&G grip
Aimshot 8200 12Mw green laser (movietastic, and got it cheap)
Hogue grip
MATech USGI BUIS
Meprolight Mepro-21 reflex sight
Sound Technologies M6-223 suppressor
