M1 Garand and M1 Carbine
Here's a pic of my M1 Garand. It's a May 1943 Springfield. Stock is a post WWII with the Federal Eagle cartouche. I always wanted one like the Garand in this picture I have of my dad. It was taken in July 1946 while he was at Parris Island. He later served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict.
  I just bought the carbine yesterday. The receiver is an August '43 National Postal Meter and the barrel is an August '43 Underwood. All of the other parts, except the rear sight (which is not the original) are Underwoods. No import marks either.
