SKS Picture Thread

Picked this SKS up a few months back. It's a great shooter, bore is in excellent shape. Very nice specimen. Yugo M59/66. Old couch will be destroyed legally with tannerite. Previous owner bubbah'd this rifle with a 30 round magazine. After finding it jammed a lot, I replaced it with the 10 round magazine that came with the gun (which the previous owner saved). Thank you, previous owner. Bluing is close to 100% on my Yugo.

I saw another Yugo SKS a week ago and the dust cover was bubbah'd with a scope on it, the rear sight messed with, the bayonet removed, and the bluing was perhaps 40-50%. I felt sad about it, and thought about the $500 price tag. ........................... was my thought.

I am keeping this Yugo as is.

I have two Russian Tula Arsenal SKS's that I bought in the early 90's for about $100 each. They remain totally stock, and are great shooters. No pics sadly.

They ain't gonna be getting any cheaper.

I don't foresee any large quantities of imports coming in that would drive the prices down.

Supply and demand is the cost driver of the gun world.
