Well after getting bit by the 1911 bug, thanks to John whom I now have his Kimber CDP Compact, I've bought myself a Christmas present, a new Springfield Armory Lightweight Operator, full size and beautiful! Here it is with new Strider Gunner Grips installed (these will be sanded down for CCW carry once I get my permit). The m1911 zine had a great review, not to mention 2 other magazines and I couldn't resist. I'll let you know how it shoots after Weds (see my post on French Creek Outfitters shooting session). Very hard and very SHARP! They are designated as "aggressive" and trust me, they are! I will be sanding them down once I receive my LTC permit. I love the look and can't wait to shoot it on Weds. Let me know if you need more info or additional pictures.
