Default New Black SR9

I just bought this and took it straight to the range. I have only shot a box through it, but hope to get more through it at the PMSC group shoot next week. So far I like it shoots. I just have to figure out how to remove the magazine disconnect safety- which is an option according to the gun reviews.

Congrats, man... That's a beautiful new pistol. How'd it shoot? Anything stand out? It'd be nice to hear some details, if you're willing.

Nice lookin' piece. Pardon my ignorance here. What's the advantage of disconnecting the magazine safety? I've heard that it smoothes out the trigger pull. Here's my limited experience with a rental SR9. The trigger pull wasn't rough or too tight at all. I tried it both dry firing (yes that's okay with the SR9 per the manual) and also with live rounds. Some of the reviews say it takes about 200+ rounds for the trigger to feel right.

Grats. Much nicer than the ugly silver/gray model they originally had out.

It is two fold for the SR9.

1 - You can still fire the round without the magazine inserted.

2 - You can dry fire without a magazine inserted without damage to the striker.
