Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Yes, there were about 500 tables. I don't think it was in the Chambersburg paper. It was an Eagle Arms show. The only way that I knew it was being held was that it was listed among the gun shows in American Rifleman Magazine from the NRA. I got there pretty late today and didn't have too much time tolook but I knew that Bonnie's Guns from Chambersburg was there so I went right to their table. Hours today were only from 9:00 to 3:00.

Traded a rifle for this.
CZ Canvasback, 20 ga, 28" barrels. Its rather light, but shoulders nicely, points naturally. The 20 ga should give me plenty of versatility for clays and birds. Came with 5 factory chokes and 4 extended choke tubes. Should be a keeper, my son should enjoy it when he gets older.

I went shooting at Easton Game and Fish yesterday so I made a stop at Heritage Guild to pick up a few things:
The recoil pad is for my Mosin Nagant, the Ballistol/brass brush is to get the carbon build up off my AR-15's bolt (1500 rounds of steel 223 really got it caked up), the lug wrench is to aid in disassembly of my new 1911 and the Chip McCormick 10 round magazine is to give my new 1911 additional firepower.
The magazine works very well, must have put 30 rounds through it yesterday.Last edited by LifeInPa; September 2nd, 2014 at 09:43 PM.

FN Herstal SCAR 16S
Sweet shooter. Might displace my Colt R6940 as my favorite.
I like the way a piston rifle shoots.

And now, I have a 1911. Ho, Ho, Ho!
My LGS kinda screwed the pooch in getting the Sig SP2022 that I wanted, so I decided to take this brand new 1911 instead. It's an RIA GI Compact. Fortunately it came with two mags and a couple of boxes of ammo, all for $450 OTD. Plus there is a $50 rebate. Bonus!! That will pay for a nice holster.
When in doubt, knifehand!

I acquired this yesterday from a pafoa member. My first Milsurp rifle, a Swiss K31 produced in 1951, caliber is called 7.5x55mm Swiss but the actual diameter (and performance) is very close to .308 Win but in a longer case. The beech stock has been refinished but not too much so it retains a lot of its original character, all numbers match, bore is excellent, even the troop tag was still under the buttplate. Overall excellent shape as these rifles usually are. This was the standard rifle of the Swiss defense forces from 1933 until 1958.
Straight-pull bolt action:
Anybody read Swiss cursive handwriting? The person who was assigned this rifle was born in 1933 but that's all I can understand:
