i wouldn't mind getting one either. i went to the ares web site and found:
Flashlight Firearms: We occasionally receive requests for information regarding a product formerly manufactured by Ares Defense Systems. The Companion product has not been produced in 6-7 years. Very few were ever manufactured; all were registered with BATF as "AOW" (Any Other Weapon) per NFA guidelines and all were transfered with ATF approval to Federally licensed dealers possessing a Special Occupational Tax stamp. We do not manufacture, advertise, sell or support this product. |

For those old enough to remember, it looks like something Maxwell Smart would almost shoot the chief with.

Hey, your not sopposed to say that outside the cone of silence!

Tons of NFA toys were produced years ago that are now lost in attics of people who don't even know what they have/inherited and collectors that don't post pictures or resell their stuff.

Bringin this sh*t back from the dead...cause this is the first time i've seen it....

Yes they can be reloaded. supposedly the 45ACP version was popular with truck drivers. I never held or fired one but I hear it was loud, inaccurate but hell of a lot better then just having a flashlight.

I think someone here has one of those in 12ga...pretty nifty little thing.
edit: Apparently we can't discuss crap like this here if we've seen one in person.
