Default Beretta xtrema2, priced one today

FYI, I priced a Beretta Xtrema2 WITH the "kick off" reduction, yes they are different prices. the all black one started at........ $1600.00 at Gander Mountain. I haven't checked around on gunsamerica or gun broker to see what they are going for. However, I almost crapped my pants right there. Since my back surgury, I'm seriously considering selling my Beretta Urika and my Charles Daly Auto (all camo) to fund the price of the xtrema 2. Do any of you guys or gals have one?

In the first link it says:

The retail on these guns is almost $2000, and wholesale is $1400
So I would be Gander is right on the money....so to speak.

Wont comment on the price, but I will say that I shoot a lot of sporting clays and I pay attention to what people are shooting and how each gun works. I know a few duck hunters that use the Beretta Xtrema2 for fun shoots, and these guns will flat run!

I'm a Big Browning O/U fan, and I love the Benelli but as far as gas guns go...the Beretta is hands down the winner. They will chew up almost any load you can think of including the 1 oz loads from Wal-Mart and the 1 1/8oz promo loads in any weather condition.

If I wanted a gas gun for hunting...the Beretta would be a great choice.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I see that it is definately worth it to buy online. I may talk to GM to see if they will match the price. I know some of the guys that work there, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit. I'm a little short on cash right now, so I wouldn't be buying one for about a month or two. However, like I said b/c of my back, this seems to be the ONLY option. Also, my Beretta 391 Urika is an awesome gun. I just wish the xtrema came in wood as opposed to synthetic.

Also, I'm wondering if I could take my Urika, and just buy the Kick-Off Stock set for it and be done. That would be just too cool. I looked at the Extrema2 http://www.berettausa.com/product/pr..._guns_main.htm and the Urika2 and see that the Urika391 can be had with the "Kick Off". Depending on the $$, the stock set would be worth it if it were under $500.

If it is simply due to back problems...

Did you ever consider installing a softer pad?

Weight in the stock?

Mercury recoil reducer?

Lots of options for the Beretta 391.
