Default Looking for class action Plaintiffs to enforce SSN privacy ruling

Hi Folks - Mike Stollenwerk here, and I need a couple more good citizens or gun dealers to stand with me against the PA State Police's continued flouting of federal SSN privacy law, see ruling in Stollenwerk v. Miller at http://www.paed.uscourts.gov/documen...s/06D0225P.pdf, and PUBLISH explicit warnings on LTCF and handgun transfer applications that SSN disclosure is NOT required.

So far I have citizen and gun dealer volunteers from the Eastern and middle federal judicial districts of PA - I need 1 or more from the Western District, e.g., greater Pittsburgh/Alleghenny County area.

The money and lawyer is already in place - just send me an email at Mike @ OpenCarry.org if you are interested - it would be especially interesting if I a vulunteer bought a handgun or applied for a LTCF after 8 FEB 07 when Judge Sanchez signed an additional order clarifiying that the SSN warnings required on the forms!

Mr. Stollenwerk, I've said this on some discussion lists before, but I just wanted to say again that your efforts are much appreciated in this matter. You picked your horse, put your money where your mouth was and came home a winner, it's hard not to admire that. Sadly, I think many of us foresaw the lack of traction that makes this second suit necessary, but that in no way invalidates the ruling secured via your original lawsuit. Kudos to you.

Sorry for going off-topic, but I thought the sentiment deserved some further public praise.

Folks, don't be worried about dealing with Mr. Stollenwerk, everything I've seen from him indicates that he's a good guy, so if you qualify for inclusion in this suit, send him an e-mail pronto!

Thanks again.

I don't remember when I bought my Ruger, but I know it was in March or a little after that... I'll have to go check... lol

wow - this is a great discussion board - 2 citizen volunteers from the Western District already today!

How about a gun dealer or citizen from say the Cebnter district - like Harrisburgh area maybe?

It looks like we are getting some corporate support - the VP of Sportsemn's Warehouse (1 store in Alleghenny County) called me to say they would NOT require SSNs to buy guns. Also, manager of the Hamberg Cabelas store did same.

Let's make sure all gun woners are refusing to disclose SSNs anymore on every gun purchase and LTCF application to force the dealers and PSP to accept reality.
