I wasn't a member back then, but was very vocal about that back then too. We had them in our area before protesting at soldiers' funerals.

Default BREAKING NEWS

They have cancelled the protest due to the pressure brought upon them. I just heard it on the radio.

I also had a response from Fast Eddie Rendell's office...

"Thank you for sending your concerns to the Governor's Office. Currently the Administration is working on ensuring the family mourns in peace and is not exposed to the protest. We are doing everything we can.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate your support."

I was thinking...well, don't count on my support come election day. LOL!

They canceled because a talk show gave them air time if they would not demonstrate.

Would throwing them off an airplane without parachutes count as air time?

I think it is a good thing they cancelled. People around here were so angry that I think a violent reception was more than just a possibility...

LOL, diego's idea does sound pretty good. I know when those people came to protest here in some small towns near the panhandle ofTexas at a soldier's funeral, it almost got really ugly. Ya'll might think that' I'm exaggerating, but people almost got shot, when it happened before our governor passed laws to protect soldier's funerals. Now they come and stay right at the mark, and the patriot guard come and other towns people come and hold flags to shield the family and friends from having to see the protestors or hear them. When the protestors get too loud or out of hand, the patriot guard, just rack off the pipes on their motorcycles and give them a nice taste of exhaust and sound. That group is seriously ridiculous.

I was part of a group of angels that went to the Gay Funerals before they turned to the Soldiers Funerals. Then the bikers took over for the Soldiers.

As an 'Angel' we had huge wings on our backs and we were dressed in white gowns with wing sleeves. We stood side by side blocking the nuts from seeing anything.

Their kids are with them when they do this. Pre-teens with foul mouths.

How you guys loving the 1st. Amendment?

Before any start, I too think these protesters are pieces of shit but there you have it.

The US Constitution forbids so much because it protects all and favors none.

Before you write anybody asking for even more limits of our liberty, take a drive to Lancaster and exercise your own God given rights.

BUSTED!!

I was waiting for somebody to bring this up.

Not anywhere on this thread, anybody said that these people shouldnt have their right to self expression.

Its the place they choose to do it at. They can go and protest infront of cityhall, at the local park, at parking lots. But protesting at a funeral, when families and relatives are grieving for loved ones, casuing them phsycological harm and pain, has nothing to with the constitution or any other law in this country.

So if you are going to quote a law to protect these pieces of trash, quote the new "Detainee Detention Act" and leave the 1st ammendment where it should be.
