Default Group shoot?

Anyone in the York/Hanover area interested in a group shoot? I live between these two towns and would be up for it.

I like shooting at Freedom Armory in Glen Rock but you have to be a member (starts at $18 to join) , so I'm open for other suggestions. IF there are other FA members here we could do one there and have another one another time. It doesn't matter the when and where, I just think it would be cool to meet and shoot with some of you folks.

Any takers?

T Durdin will become famous soon enough
Default Re: Group shoot?

Me and Ms. T Durdin would be into shootin' some time.

There's a public range in Rossville North of Dover.

Also, Djturnz is a member of a gunclub just over the border in Adams county. We could probably get him to have us over to his club.

It wouldn't hurt if we could do a little BBQ'ing as well.

Depending on my work schedule I would be interested. Hard to plan much when you drive for a living.

We had talked about doing one but it never came together. I joined up at Adams County Handgunners and it seems to be the closest range that will allow non members to shot there. If we can get a group together we can reserve an afternoon there for $10 a person. JTurner is a member of the board so I'll talk to him nect week at the meeting to see if it's doable.

Ahhh... yes, my child. Take what ye will learn at the Pgh Group Shoot on the 9th and spread the seeds of friendship and gathering with guns!

Go forth and gather ye ammunition and arms and meats for the grill, for food is truly the way to draweth a crowd.

Let not your numbers cause despair, but look westward to the example of thine disciples own numbers which groweth by the day.

In the beginning there were two, (me and TheHighChild, for you history buffs!) and their numbers did multiply and the excitement is greater than their numbers today which approacheth the mark of seventy and the event draweth disciples from far away lands who speak of a liquid which they call wooder and revel in the sights which they behold, of targets of steel and houses of fun.

Ye shall gather and the joyful sound of gunfire shall ensue. Ye shall eat, and shoot, and rejoice, for no matter the number, thy time spent laughing and sharing and learning is WTF it's really all about!

My "God complex" post may not be fully understood by those who haven't seen it before! LOL!
What I'm tryin' to say is... GOOD LUCK with the shoot and HAVE FUN!!!

We can definately set this up. There is a deck and planty of area for a picnic. Just $10 a person for non-members, and you have to sign a waiver.

So how are these group shoots run? Do you guys just set up targets and shoot? I was thinking of setting up a "Top Dog" stage with pepper poppers, and maybe setting up the shoot house.

How do the PGH shooters do it?

The club address is
1540 Upper Bermudian Rd
Gardners, PA 17324

Incase anyone wants to MapQuest it. I can get there from York in about 65 minutes by taking 234 (East Berlin Rd.)
