Default Small single-stack 9mm options?

My dad bought a Kahr PM9 a while ago for CCW, and has absolutely loved it. All of the sudden it's having trigger reset issues and he's super ticked. Sometimes it fires, sometimes it doesn't. While that is plenty annoying by itself, it's extremely unsettling when it starts happening in a gun you are depending on for carry. He's had this little booger for under a month and is going to see what Kahr can do about it, but if Kahr can't or won't make it better (I've unfortunately found some horror stories about it happening), what other options does he have for similar guns? He's already looked my GLOCK 26, and also the XD subcompact, and doesn't like either one, says they're too thick. He's also uninterested in the various .380s and other small-caliber mouse guns out there. Having been spoiled by the size/caliber of the Kahr, he's only interested in similarly-sized 9mm single-stacks.

The only other small 9mm single stack that came up in a quick search was the Sig P225, but I'm guessing that is probably still too large and hefty by his standards. What other options are there? If only GLOCK would make a single-stack 9mm...

Beretta 92M
There has to be a single stack 9mm 1911, but I can't think of one this second.

My Kahr P9 had a double reset from factory.
Before I even fired a round, I dryfired the gun and found this problem.

I have the name of the contact person at Kahr but dealt with Dottie who was great to work with. 508-795 3919 (this is the number on the Technical Service Work Sheet)

They took the gun, replaced the trigger bar, triggerbar spring, cocking cam, striker, striker block, Extractor, slide stop spring, washer, screw,Mag catch and polished the barrel hood and feed ramp.

They paid shipping to and fro and mailed me a check for $10 for my trouble. Turnaround was a little better than a week.(Dated received 3/25 date shipped 3/26).

Service Dept was excellent to deal with.

Gun should not have left QC this way but they made it right.

I did hear that PM9's had some issues with the recoil spring and feeding problems due to angle of feedramp in their earlier guns but thought these issues were ironed out.

Get a P9 Covert. 3 1/2" bbl. Have one on my ankle as I type.

I don't think any of the single stack 9mm's mentioned are going to be as thin or lightweight as the kahr. several of them are significantly bulkier than the glock.

I love my S&W 3913. It had a trigger job and tuneup from the Cylinder and Slide Shop and it's a really sweet shooter.

Hey Cheesey,
Springfield Armory came out with the EMP last year and it is a fine single stack 9mm pistol. Also, as dgg9 mentioned, the S&W 3913 is a great choice, have one in the family and it shoots and shoot and shoots...happy hunting...Mike45
