I would take a long hard look at the Rohrbaugh R9s 9mm. At $945 MSRP, it sure ain't cheap, but very well made and very very small. As a pocket gun, hard to beat.

While the P7M8 is my personal choice as the best single stack 9mm out there, check out the Walther PPS -- it's a new single stack striker fired 9mm. Everyone is raving about it. It's basically a Glock 26, but single stack and ugly.

I have a firestar M43 9mm. It is out of production but you can find one for about 200 bucks. I pocket carry it all the time. It is not light but a nice little piece. It is single action. I carry it on half cock in my pocket with saftey on. Very easy to flip off saftey and cock hammer as you draw. Nice little pocket rocket. they also came in 40 and 45.

Look for Astra A70 (single action) in 9 and A75 (double action, also lightweight model available) in 9 or 40. No longer in production but excellent quality. Midway caries good after market mags (Promag?). For an A75 you will want an after market steel recoil spring guide as well, the aluminum ones get pretty banged up. Otherwise small, cheap and super reliable.

would have to 3rd it on a S&W 3913! Had & carried one for years! Great little smith! Look around not to pricey.

I have my eye on the new Walther PPS. It looks like a great carry piece.

I never liked inexpensive handguns but as of late I have become a devoted fan of the Kel-tec line of small carry pistols. Just for kicks I purchased a Keltec p3at in 380. I have since put over 500 rounds through it with no failures of any kind. I was so impressed with it I bought a Kel-tec P11.The trigger on it is rough and it wouldn't fire hollow points until I polished the feed ramp. Since then it has fired over 400 rounds without any problems. two weeks ago I bought a Kel-tec PF9, a single stack 9mm . 300 rounds later I liked it so much Gander mountain Had an exclusive deal on the PF9 with a laser sight on it so I bought one of them. So far I have 160 rounds shot and I like it even more than I did when I bought my first one.
