Default East Coast Gun Sales Expanding Big Time

I read the article today. Can't find the link to it. Don't think it is up yet. But in short.

East Coast Gun Sales of Duncansville, PA got a loan for 3.5 million dollars to complete a 3 phase plan to build and expand.
They will be able to Manufacture Semiautomatic and Automatic Rifles. They will make the weapons for law enforcement and military customers.
As a manufacturer, they are allowed to have as many of this style of weapon as they want in their store. Normally the NFA (National Firearms Act) only allows them to have two of any one type of automatic weapon in stock.

The company purchased 9.9 acres including a 12,440 square foot buidling in Freedom Township. It is expected to be finished so they can move in next year.

HERE IS THE NEAT PART

The project also includes building a 10 lane underground shooting range, which is expected to be done in 2008. It will have seven 50 yard lanes and three 100 yard lanes. (Yep you read the right. Three 100 yard underground ranges)

They are also building a 30,000 square foot building for sales and further expansion.

OH MAN. And this will only be about 20 minutes from my house.

(Drool. Slobber. Pant...)

Sounds like another good reason to move back to the sticks.

We are getting three 100 yard underground ranges, and the Easties have a hard time finding a range that they can shoot 100 yards. Makes you happy you live out West.

I was there about a month ago and was talking to one of the employees about the new store. It sounds like it'll be a pretty impressive place. I like it a lot better than Grice. I like Pioneer because of the militaria they have on display and for sale, but East Coast is a nicer store and the people are friendlier. They have a lot of guns and a really good selestion of reloading stuff. I'm sure there will be more when they expand. I live about an hour from Altoona. I wish I was closer.

Don't know Anthony Arms. But this place has the biggest selection of firearms anywhere near here. Once the new place goes in, it will be huge.

Mtbkski I work in Altoona and travel up from the Blue Knob area. Where exactly is "Freedom Township" and where will the new shop be?

I was in this spring and they were saying that they were moving into the Wendts building on old Rt 220 down by the Roaring Spring exit of 99.

That will be nice!!!
