Johnc will become famous soon enough
Default National Guard Armory

Supposed to be 400 tables. Will probably have jerky there and T-shirts.

Interested in this. Anyone been to this gun show before? What can I expect?

I keep referencing CA because thats where I moved from. California gunshows went from free to lame after the 2000 "Assault Weapons" ban, plus some other fascist legislation that banned buying parts and magazines. Pretty soon, prices went through the roof too.

Same or different here?

Not as good as Valey Forge, but the second best (usually) in the Philly area. To get any better, you will have to go to one of the big Allentown area shows.

The one thing I don't like is that there seems to be a lot of non-gun stuff. In fact (and I'm not trying to chase you away), the Summer shows are not as good as the Fall shows.

Yes, I've only missed that show maybe twice in the past three years and they always had several people with primers and powder.

I've never been to a gun show before, but am considering attending this one just to see what it's like and what's there. How do the prices tend to compare with retail, particularly for ammo (9mm target rounds, if it matters)? Do you usually find pretty good deals at the shows, or is it more of a "retail sales in a convention-like environment" setup? Is there anything a novice should know about gun shows prior to attending (other than "don't bring any money you don't want to spend" )?

You guys are a great source of information. I appreciate it!

Definitely not as good as the VF show. I work there(armory), so I usually get in free but if I need a few mags, I usually pick them up when they vendors are setting up on Fridays.
Parking can be be a bit of a pain if they draw a large crowd. They just resurfaced the lot and put in 1/3 to 2/3 handicap parking spaces. The building facility manager also likes to have wrongfully parked cars ticketed and or towed.

Will they still open up that field for over-flow parking?
