Default Carrying condition 1

Asking on behalf of a friend; What is the difference, if any, between carrying with one chambered and the pistol cocked (condition one) and carrying hammer down on an empty chamber in regards to the law? Specifically, is one allowed to carry condition one with a LTCF?

If applicable laws could be cited, that'd be helpful. Thanks!

Yes, with or without your LTCF.

There is no law. Laws are not written to list allowed behavior.

Try to find the law forbidding it. You won't find it because it doesn't exist.

IANAL....But, as it's been said before, if there is no law against it...then it is legal by default. As far as I've looked through my book on PA gun laws (2009), there is no law against it.

Damn, you beat me to it Curmudgeon...

Thanks for the instantaneous response guys! I knew the answer before I asked the question, I just asked to prove to a friend I knew what I was talking about.

Its amazing the bad info folks will pick up in Philly. My friend heard that carrying condition one was illegal. My saying "That doesn't make sense and is stupid" wasn't good enough to convince him I was right :P
