Hello Everyone:

I wanted to take the time to thank all of you who have given from your hearts for Meleanie's children. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for the children and myself but we are doing as well as can be expected, given the circumstances. Currently we are living in Mount Joy, PA, with friends, until we can find a suitable house that we can afford. The Credit Union doesn't tell me who contributed so I am not able to thank you individually but I wanted you to know that your kindness and generosity has not gone unnoticed. Those of you who were able to make it to the funeral will never know how touched I was by your presence and all of your kind words. I never would have expected that Meleanie would have touched so many people. As Meleanie's mother, I am proud to know she was able to leave such a legacy. I will miss her everyday for the rest of my life, as she was my best friend. Meleanie would want me to wish each of you a happy holiday season and so I wish that for each and every one of you. I'll try to keep in touch but three children keeps me a bit on the busy side...not to mention all of the phone calls, appointments and legal stuff I am having to attend to each and every day. So if you email me and do not hear back in a timely manner, please know that I will get there as soon as I can. Again, there are really no words of thanks that truly express my feelings but know that you have served to restore some of my faith in the human race again.

Jen you have a lot on your menu. My prayers are with you and your family. She had many friends here. I did not know Meleanie but we did comment a few times with each other. The people on this forum for the most part are some awesome people and loved her as you can see.

Your daughter was a treasure and knowing her enriched the life of everyone who met her.

A rare commodity that the world needs much more of. I don't know how far the ripples in the pond extend, but she made a very big splash. And I'm not referring to media coverage.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. It was my personal pleasure to attend the services for your daughter who did so much for others, many of which she never knew. I never met your daughter but greatly respected her for fighting for her rights and the rights of others.

My deepest sympathies, and best wishes for you and your family.

Stay strong, and be proud of the wonderful daughter that you raised.

Thanks for coming here and posting the update. I think of her often. Just last week I ran across her spot in my phone book and thought "I should call her" then it hit me.
Our best wishes to your family this holiday season too. We'll remember her in our prayers.
