i should be a go for this one too.
ive been spreadin the word to other people around this area about the forum/shoots . should be another fun time! any decision, yet, on which range we'll be using (july's or june's)? i would have to say that the july range was quite fun but the whole area felt kinda crowded in a way. the june area was big but the break-up in the pistol/rifle bays kinda sux but lots of area. i guess overall, due to the ammount of toys, my vote goes for the july area but wouldnt be upset if was at the june area. just my $.03 Last edited by bigjlen; July 20th, 2007 at 12:04 AM. |

I don't know which range we'll be using yet.
I'm givin' that up to BT this time. Edit your post and state your preference... I'm mixed on it. I do have to say that the one we used last time was more fun because it gave everyone more types of shooting options. So... my vote is for the IPSC bays again. I didn't get to run the "Fun House" with my SKS last time!!! ![]() (It also depends on whether there are any other events scheduled at the club that day.)

I vote for the shoot house and texas star. I've never shot either and would love to, if we have the chance.
Anyone else from the Centre region that is intrested SPEEK UP and we can try to work on car pooling!!! Josh

I vote for the IPSC range area. I don't know if it's possible but it might be nice to have some gongs for "pistol only" setup, maybe at the un-covered area on the right side of the main range (the covered area we shot at last time)set at 25 yards. This would give the guys something else to shoot at when the house gets backed up. What do you think?

I agree that the IPSC ranges made for a better shoot. Something for everyone. Plenty of space to park. We will not be able to have any steel on the main IPSC range because that would necessitate a ban on rifle shooting. I am thinking the same setup as last time. Texas star for pistol, pistol caliber carbine, or shotgun. House for pistol, rifle(with steel down), or pistol caliber carbines. Main range for pistol, rifle, or pistol caliber carbines.
Good times.

EM,
What would happen if you used a plastic "practice" golfball instead? Hawk, |

It would not be safe to shoot the launchers on the ranges where firearms are in use and we have agreed to have an RO at each shooting station. I heard that there were a few guys that went down to some of the other ranges last time. At the time, I was not aware of that or I would have put a stop to it. If you want to shoot lauchers at the club, do it when we are not having a PAFOA shoot. Then it will be between you (collective "you", not EM "you") and the club. If it happens during one of our shoots, then it is between me and the club. Lots of fun to be had shooting bullets out of our guns. Take the launchers to a farmers field and have some fun.

Hey, who let this clown take over?
He's gone MAD with POWER! LOL! ![]() Yeah, I know BT, I was just kiddin' about the golf balls. (I will have the launcher with me though in case anybody wants to see what it looks like!) Nicely worded CYA post, by the way. Very diplomatic Mr. Titan! ![]() Hey, I PM'd a member from the Altoona area about the shoot and he says he's gonna try and make it! (Makes them guyz from the other side of the Burg look kinda silly for sayin' "it's too far away", now doesn't it? )ETA: BT, I'm joking about the CYA part too! I know it's important to keep things safe. Just thought I'd clarify that too.
