Haha...those are "cool" ideas (pun intended)
I have thought about building a good sized locker outta wood...I have the tools, but no wood working talent at all!  I'll just have to check Dick's and Goose Mt. out and see what they have...

another idea that i have often thought about using was to snag some old high school lockers. you'd need about a 4 or 5 locker section to make it worth while. i've seen them at a place called "Construction Junction" which takes in and sells building materials from demolition projects around Pittsburgh. If you want, the next time I am there I can check to see how much they cost. They always have them on hand.
ps. a non working fridge would probably be free if you get the word out to a few folks.

I have an AmSec 16 gun that I bought at Gander a few years ago. I ran out of room for pistols, so I covered the inside of the door in felt and bought some ceramic magnet hooks at Lowes. I covered the hooks in felt and just hang all my pistols on the door. Lots of room for long guns inside the safe now.
