Default Laser Bore Sighting?

What experience, good or bad, have you had using a laser bore sight?

I'm considering buying one to sight in a variety of my firearms, and would like to hear your experiences and recommendations.

Thanks.

I used one to line up my tactial laser on my beretta px4 storm. I used it at 15 yards.

I also used it on a buddys .22. It seems to be worth the money and fairly easy to use.

Finding a decent one with a strong laser to go 50/100 yards in daylight will be a little difficult

They help get the left/right on quickly, and the up/down close. It's saves time and ammo. Even with it laser sighted in, the end result need to be checked by actually shooting to make sure.

The laser boresighters are great to get you close and then you fine tune by actually putting bullets on paper. When I bore sight with a laser I typically do it at dusk so that the laser shows up better. When I mount a scope, I'll first use an optical boresighter in the shop and then take the gun to the range and finish with the laser and ammo.

I have had one for years, Laserlyte I think. Its great. Saves on ammo, time and works pretty well. It will definitely get you close at 50 yards, and its just a few shots to dial in from there.

I have my rifle. Do you?

Gentlemen,

I appreciate your insights into this and your comments.

Looks like everyone who posted thinks they are a good idea for getting hits on the paper, but then need to be fine-tuned (literally) at the range.

Thank you for taking the time to get back to me.
