Looking for Somewhere to Shoot
I'm new to the area and would love to get some range time in. I shoot pistol and live in Harrisburg. Everything I've come across is private/members only. Are there any public ranges I can shoot at? I'll probably join a club at some point, but want to do some research before making the leap.

State Game Lands Public Shooting Ranges
http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/cwp/v...a=480&q=161297 Definately join a club when you find one you like. Do a search here on State Game Land ranges and you'll find all the negatives about them. But they are free.

Westshore Sportsmen is very close and has a lot of great ranges onsite. They are very cheap to join. There is also a lot of training there, including Insights. You would have to pay for some of the training, but some of the coaches tend to hang out there also.
