Default I painted the roll marks on my lower

I'm getting together the parts I need to build a rifle in two tone FDE and black. I sent my RRA lower and Magpul winter trigger guard to Customized Creationz and had them finish it in FDE.
I painted the roll marks with flat black paint. The roll marks where very shallow which made the task very difficult. It took some patience, but I finally got it to where I liked it.

    Looks sharp!

I like the use of different colors in the FIRE and SAFE.

    Red is always "fire."

To the OP, I believe that they make some sort of crayon-like product specifically for that, you know? I imagine that you'll find it somewhere on Brownells' site.

Outstanding 1BR, I could not stay focus'd that long . Can't wait to see the completed build.

I've seen that, but it doesn't hold up as well as paint.
The roll marks where so shallow on this lower that I don't think the crayons would have held up very long.

Nice job on the roll marks. I did the roll marks on a custom Ruger 10/22 I was/am building. I used silver permanent marker (like a "Sharpie") and then took a rag and with denatured alcohol wiped off everything except the depressions of the lettering. Perhaps that is cheating, but it looks good, and works for the really small roll marks on the barrel as well.

Congrats on a job well done.
    Cheers,
    Scott
