Default I'm thinking about talking to Wachovia

After recent views of things that really brought to my attention how ridiculous "No-Gun" signs are, I feel that I want to say something to my local Wachovia branch about it. I CC 100% of my time, when not working, and sometimes I OC. So when I have banking to do, I am violating their rule. Sometimes I'll use the drive through, but that's a pain, can I always have to write stuff, and my steering wheel is no roll top.

Anywho, I feel that I want to mention something to somebody at Wachovia. Maybe not at the branch, but maybe at a more corporate level.

Is this a waste of my time, (not that I cherish my time), or could this get a ball rolling. The Lebanon branch has been robbed in the past, armed robbery I believe. I'd just hate to think that I'm the bad guy, for breaking a rule that Wachovia thinks is for the betterment of everyone dealing with them.

I personally would just break to rule or change banks. I have openly carried in my bank without problems but then again where I live it isn't considered a huge deal...

By all means contact corporate and advise them that
1)PA is an unlicensed open carry state
2)PA is a licensed concealed carry states
3)PA has been issueing a ton of licenses
4)therefore a lot of people in PA are carrying guns
5)those people cannot use their bank, but can use other banks
6)You will respect their wishes and switch to a National Penn owned bank where OC/CC is just dandy
7)You wil advise 20,000 of your closest friends to do the same
8)They will drift around other forums and tell 1000, 2000, or 5000 of their friends at a time to do the same

You can also mention that 42 states allow some form of open carry, and 48 states issue a license or permit to carry concealed. That is a lot of potential customers, and almost all of those states have an organization similar to PAFOA where we can post "Wachovia did the right thing" or "Don't bank with these pricks" depending on their final decision

Great post. I love numbers. I should also mention they wont get anymore of my huge overdraft fees. I know they would miss those.

I would simply bank in a bank that has no such restriction. I have no idea what Pennstar's rule is, but my branch has seen my firearm on many occasions and I have even conversed with a few of the tellers about carry. Not once have I had a negative reaction to it from them.

Just to be fair, they all know who I am, and what my business is, so that may have something to do with it.

A friend of mine in NC got charged with trespassing and had 2 guns confiscated after he protested being kicked out of his local bank by calling the bank manager. Bank manager called the cops on him. This was after he voluntarily left the bank.

I have no idea how that happened. Sounds like it is either illegal to carry at a bank in NC or you buddy was a victim of a bad cop. Etierhway they cannot confiscate your guns for ignoring a sign nor for trespass unless you refuse to leave in PA... IANAL.

Was he OC'ing? I not sure about the effect of the law on OC'ers, but it is absolutely illegal in N.C. to carry a concealed weapon into a financial institution, whether you have a permit or not. Even if a place just posts a sign prohibiting concealed weapons, you are barred from carrying there in N.C.

Best wishes to ya, man. Even though I'm a very positive guy, I think you're in for a steep climb. Wachovia is a corporate monster. And it's the kind of monster that lives for rules and regulations.

Have at it, though!
