Default Selling a firearm on Gunbroker?

Im a 10 year ebay veteran, and I'm new to gunbroker, but have already bought and sold on there. I have never sold a firearm though. I have an old Savage 24v series gun. Apparently its rare and people seek this gun. I think gunbroker is my best bet to get rid of it and I'm curious as to what I have to do in order to sell it

Shipping. Can I ship it with UPS, Fedex, USPS? do i have to do anything special?

Before I can sell on gunbroker, what do I need from the buyer? I assume when I ship I have to send it to a FFL?

thanks.

I bought my AR-15 from a vendor on gunbroker. If I recall, he mailed it via USPS.

Best bet is once the auction is won, bring it to your FFL, and have them ship it to the buyers FFL.

That way it's out of your hands and you can keep a clear conscience about it.

Also make sure you advertise that this is how you will be shipping the gun to the auction winner. Make sure you list the shipping/FFL fee in the disclaimer.

You need to be more clear with someone who doesn't understand the process. If you are not a Federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL) it is a federal and state felony to receive a gun this way.

From the Gunbroker.com seller's tutorial:

Quote:
You do not have to be a licensed dealer to sell a firearm. By Federal law, the person to whom you ship the gun must be a licensed dealer. If the buyer is not a licensed dealer, the buyer must make arrangements with a licensed dealer in his state to receive the firearm and transfer it to the buyer. We have very in-depth information on shipping firearms legally on our Firearm Shipping Guide page. Never, under any circumstances, ship a firearm without following the steps on the Firearm Shipping Guide page! Shipping illegally is a felony and will earn you a one-way ticket to prison.

It is entirely unnecessary and costly to bring the gun to an FFL to have them ship to another FFL. Any person can ship a gun to an FFL directly. Read the rules. They are pretty simple.

Depends if you're shipping a hand gun or not, then it is entirely necessary.

Non-licensee's may use the USPS to ship long-guns to FFL's interstate, and to other non-licensee's and FFL's intrastate.
