SALE: Ruger KP85 MKII to benefit Meleanie Hain's children - Best Offer

What and Why:

I have a Ruger KP85 MKII (Stainless, Hammer Drop + Safety, SN 303-07xxx, 2 Magazines, loader, Ruger box) that I'm offering here for private sale with all proceeds to go to the She Fears Nothing / Meleanie Hain's children's trust fund. (http://forum.pafoa.org/946416-post-422.html)

The back-story is I bought this for myself intending to keep it, but decided to get a KP89 (pretty much the same gun except a decock-only) for magazine compatibility with 2-other of my guns. So I'm putting this one out for the cause.

Everything appears to be in very good condition with some minor scuffs/light scratches on the slide. The only oddity is that the previous owner removed the Left-Handed, (Ambi/Right side) mag release. I'm assuming it was to minimize the chance of an unintentional mag-drop. I do not have the part, but you should be able to get one from Ruger if you need it. Mag release is fine though with the right thumb (or left finger shooting lefty.) This was a safe-queen for me, but I function tested it last week - GTG.





I'm setting a initial start price of $250. (For reference, on 3/25/09 a KP85MKII w/box and 1 Mag went for $440 + 10% cash {13% credit} buyers premium ... so $484 {+ PICS and lock} at auction at Alderfers in Hatfield, PA. http://www.alderferauction.com/conte...x?CatId=513223 That was rated an excellent piece. The Process:
To hopefully minimize difficulties I am doing this as a best offer - private sale (to be transfered through an FFL). It is my pistol, (PSP should even have a record of it).

I'm conducting this initially with offers made online to close (online) at 9:30AM Eastern on Sunday, November 1st. I will then accept in-person offers at the NEPA memorial shoot from around 12:00-1:00. (If I can be sure of net access at the shoot, I'll update here to let you know and continue to accept online offers till 1:00.) Yes, ALL proceeds will go to the trust fund. I'm happy to accept a prominent PAFOA third party to receive the funds and deposit it in the trust fund if so desired by the winner. If the transferee is at the NEPA shoot before 1:30 (I have to leave by 2pm), the funds can go straight into the shoot proceeds and we can transfer the pistol then.
