You've done good! The only thing you may have missed was making sure your room mate who called the cops let them know that you were armed and had a LTCF and gave them your description.
Headcase is 100% right on the glitter! It has been responsible for many of my *house* arrests! Damn Dancer Dust! That should stuff should be outlawed! If we save just one marriage its worth it!![]() Good Luck!

Wow, glad everything is ok (less your xbox) didn't read further to see if you got it back, however i think maybe some cameras in your place and on the outside are in order.

Yea, I'm going to look into setting up remote webcams that feed to my computer.
After my roommate got off the phone, I put the gun on the coffee table and just sat down waiting for the cops. In hindsight, it probably would have been a good idea for him to tell them I was armed. |

Sorry to hear about what happened to you, but you did good. You stayed calm, maintained situational awareness, informed the others in the home, and most importantly, didn't chase after the little miscreants when they fled. Not only does their fleeing negate any reason for you to employ force, as you said they could've been waiting in ambush.
And SHAME on the Temple police for treating the victim (you) like a criminal simply because you were responsibly armed in your own home. Quote:
I'm not gonna ask HOW you know this...

hopefully they go to hook the xbox up to play it and it red rings on them. If you have renters insurance they should pay for you to get a new xbox. Luckily the prices on most newer consoles dropped significantly since the realease of them. Not the $599 us dollars from the past. You shoud get an elite, a lot more storage space. Let me know your gamer tag when you get a new one and we can play. My xbox live id is Raul Pera

Just a thought, but now that the kids presumably know that you have a gun (assuming they got a look at it when you went outside), you better make sure that it is either always with you when you go out, or extremely secure if left at home. They may decide to come back when no one is home and do a little shopping...

Kudos on handling yourself well and I second the motion for a dog, preferable a BIG dog that can stare in the eye .... nothing like seeing a 100+ pound Rottie staring back at you when you look into a window or a door, can be the friendliest dog on the planet but they don't know that!
